Ok... I think I've hit a snag. I've done so well with Citibank over the years...

Activated card today, spent $5k immediately, and then noticed 'Citibank Premier Card' in internet banking. Shows no reference to Qantas and it allows me to click through to Citirewards website, which shows me having a 0 points balance, with a Citirewards account active since 2 days before I applied for the card.

Can anyone who has successfully got the 100k qantas points provide insight as to what they see when they login to internet banking?

For the record, I did include my QFF during the application process, so unsure why its doing this. Would love some insight before I start with Citibank on the drive home tonight

EDIT: In continuing to look, I can see under Rewards / Rewards Home, I am registered for Qantas with my QFF listed. Under Rewards / Miles Registration, it shows Qantas/Krisflyer/Skywards/Velocity and the only one thats is allowed to list details is Qantas. I hold hope that my good run with Citibank continues!

I hit a similar snag a few years ago. I was never sure if was their fault or mine and I only discovered it when I received the first statement with awards points instead of QF points. I might have spent $3k in the first month which was not enough to spend on any reward and they were adamant they couldn't transfer the 3000 points to the replacement QF version of the card. However they did give me an EFTPOS card with maybe $15 or $20. Not the same value as the points lost but better than nothing.

I have only just noticed this card is now a "Premier" and no longer a "Signature" card. This change must have happened in the last week or so.

EDIT: I just noticed this is discussed by AFF (Citibank Shuffles Credit Cards, Removes Benefits).
The name change of the cards took effect on 19 January, it seems.

How long did it take for people to get approved for this card? I submitted the application in early last week and haven't heard a thing back? Usually I've heard back within a day or two so this seems a bit weird?

Took about a week. I got a bombardment of emails when it was approved (change of address etc etc) and a 3am text the next day

Applied for this card last week (the "Citi Premier Qantas Credit Card" rebadged version).

Is there any benefits of the complimentary linked Diners Club card, other than no FX fees? (i.e. does it earn QFF points at a different rate?)

I did read in the T&C's that any spend on the linked Diners card does not count towards the $5000 minimum spend for the 100k points, so won't be using it until I've hit that milestone.

I was really hesitant to apply for this card but gave it a go after reading the now more positive comments about the process.

Couldn't agree more! applied 3rd Dec late at night, approved 5th Dec. No further verification was requested for.

Card received about a week later. Hit my minimum spend of 5k mid-Jan. 100k bonus points were posted today which is also when I was notified that my latest statement is ready. Hence I think for those who are waiting for their bonus points to be posted, it should be posted together with the next statement.

Seems a bit odd, I applied on the 21st of Jan and have heard zero back... even logged back in with the one time code to check status and it is still sitting at "submitted" with an application expiry of the 11th of Feb. Might try and figure out how to call/email them early next week if I don't hear back!

speaking of priority pass lounges, i'm ready to close the card but haven't used any of the lounge passes. Sounds like i have to forego the passes if i haven't used them? It's not like I can get e / physical passes before hand right?
Thanks!

Possibly the easiest 100k qff I've churned. Met min spend, points credited on first statement. Bang.

Well done Citibank. Now let's hope for a BT when I call through to make it worthwhile holding til anniversary - offset interest to cover the annual fee to pickup the extra 50k qff 👍

0% BT sitting on there for 15months. Effectively parked in my offset means that I'm happy to pay the next years annual fee, essentially a free 50,000 QFF for no credit hit. woop!

I've given up on this card - Citi have been a nightmare to deal with.

My initial application was declined with no communication to me. When I called up asking they told me I could get the decision re-assessed as my payslips, etc had not gone through to them though I had uploaded everything as requested through the online system. They gave me an email address and reference number to email these documents to them, which I did. One week on I had heard no response, though I got an automated acknowledgement of my email at the time which mentioned I should get a response within 48-72hrs. I just got off the phone with them now and as I had not mentioned re-assessment of my application in my email, it had not been done. They then asked me to send everything again with an explicit request for reassessment in my email... seriously? I told them to shove it.

This strategy sounds interesting. Can you elaborate more? you've taken money from the card to park in your offset? and you're planning to do it for 15 months? Why is there no credit hit?
