Citibank Platinum - Receiving Bonus Points... Why?

I am currently receiving 1.5 points per $1 and am definitely not complaining!

However, not wanting to draw it to the attention of Citibank... I was just wondering if it is a special promotion that i missed, whether it is a permanent error on their part, or if anyone knows if it has an end date?

I do recall seeing something about join up as a platinum, get a really good balance transfer rate and 1.5pts for a certain period...??

I recently upgraded from gold to platinum on a heavily reduced annual fee.

I am very confused also. At the moment (by my calculations - which I believe to be correct) I am receiving 3 points per dollar?
