Citibank online banking update

To answer my own question:

Cannot be added
CitiBank Australia (CitiRewards)

Since the website revamp other sites which update external account balances also can't access Citibank Australia, e.g. Westpac Other Accounts.

Extremely annoying and at the same time weird since Citibank AU has basically adopted the design of its US counterpart which can be checked via AwardWallet.

I got a few emails from the AwardWallet people - clear they were trying to sort it out, but I assume they couldn't find a way.

I've listed it myself and manually update every now and again like I do with Westpac Altitude Rewards. PITA but better than nothing.

This deficiency is the only thing stopping me from giving AW 5 stars.

I agree, I don't think it's AW's fault. It seems these issues don't always arise accidentally either. I read somewhere (FT?) that a number of companies have deliberately blocked services such as AW from gaining access, and a major airline (AA, IIRC) even threatened AW with legal action.

No idea why, to be honest, but there you go.

There may be some hope because as of today, for the first time since April, Westpac Other Accounts was able to update my Citibank balance. I went over to AwardWallet to try but no love...

Good news. I haven't tried for a long time but I got the Citibank balance to show up on trying today.
