If I use a Citi Platinum card using points (Price Match) to purchase a one way ticket to an overseas country, would I receive any kind of travel insurance coverage?

As long as you meet the eligibility criteria, then yes I believe so.

Obtained by the cardholder under the Citibank Travel Program.

The cover is available up to 31 days for cardholders with a one-way overseas travel ticket

However you should not take my word for it, especially if you intend to rely on the travel insurance.

The PDS can be downloaded from here http://www.citibank.com.au/global_images/complimentaryinsurance/pdf/citibank_tc_270911.pdf
You should read it so you know what is and is not covered along with the correct eligibility criteria

The website/page for the free travel insurance can be seen here Insurance - Citibank Australia
