Citi Emirates Card insurance vs others

Hi.

I just booked my flights on Emirates Syd > Dubai > UK > USA > UK > Dubai > Syd.

I then went to Citibank to check the foreign transaction fees and notice the Citi Emirates Card... It has insurance + complimentary taxi, lounge access + free flight to NZ... all for $229 a year.

Then I checked insurance for 37 days $397.

Now I feel gutted I didn't apply for the card... is there a catch somewhere?
