Choice hotels loyalty points

For some reason I have had a few nights at different Choice Hotels lately. Not bad for what you pay and often in convenient locations.

Anyway, I have accumulated a few points, not much but what can I do with them? I cant see any way of transferring them to a decent airline or program that I use like Qantas or Virgin. Anyone has a good idea of what to do with the points except for free nights? Tried to look into booking with points+pay, but dont seem to work at the moment.

Thank you soooo much I was looking for that but their website is so messy I hardly found anything.

I dont have many points, only about 10,000 at the moment (will probably go up in a few months), but enough to annoy me if I cant do anything with them

Can you earn choice rewards when booking through Hotels.com?

Also worth noting you can probably get a status match, not that it gets you much, some bonus points at least.

You can never earn points booking a room from anywhere but the hotels website itself; this is 100% opposite to how airlines work but is the way of the world for hotels.

So... I went to the website to have a look at the points... dont have many, merely about 8200 points. But when I go to make an exchange as they call it, they say I have 150,000 exchange points that I can convert to 22,500 Qantas FF points. Dont work at all choosing Velocity...
But I cant get this equation together... 8200 points all of a sudden becomes 150,000, or do they have a weird conversion chart? I just dont want it to come back and bite me if I transfer.
