I am interested to hear any feedback on people who have had China Eastern successfully honour the agreement between them and Qantas. The last 4 attempts to use priority check-in and the lounge have not been successful and all staff claim they have no idea of the agreement. I have spent an hour on the phone this morning to multiple people at China Eastern who all claim to have no idea about the agreement also. I am WP fwiw.

I had no dramas at PVG about 3 weeks ago. Showed Qantas card, no questions asked.

Just back from China. Flying MU international and domestic as QF Plat. Was turned away twice from the MU dom lounge at PVG - being sent once to a lounge at Gate 9 and then another in terminal 2. Third time had the website open on my phone, showed the staff member and stood my ground. Once inside, was processed without issue. Same in PEK, you need to be ready to show the staff guarding the entrance the relationship and they'll let you through to the desk for processing. International is a lot easier, although be aware that the transit support staff will often make it harder for you to get where you need to be than if you just followed the instructions posted in the terminal.
