Child reward seat

Hi guys. Just wondering if i could book reward adult ticket for my child (i will have to put wrong DOB in order to do that). Tried kris flyer membership center, but they keep saying there is no availability, which is strange - i can book adult reward seat online!
Opinions?
 
How old is the child? Are they old enough to travel independently or need to travel as a registered unaccompanied minor?
