I am a member of the Constellation Hotels (Chifley, Country Comfort) Escape Club which isn't too bad. After 15 nights spent at their hotels (mainly NSW but also interstate except WA and Tas) you get a voucher for a free 2 night stay at any of their hotels. I find this is a great incentive to stay at their hotels as you can get a free weekend away (with a few other freebies like a bottle of wine). Have stayed at Terrigal CC which was a great location for one weekend and will do another soon. The other advantage is that you got QFF points for the stays as well. I got a letter late last year saying that you could now 'choose' between points or vouchers. I'm sticking with the vouchers - the points aren't all that great anyway and it's a good incentive to take a weekend away. Vouchers have a limited life (12 mon?) but can be extended if you talk to the right person. I think this is an excellent loyalty scheme and am surprised it's not more common with other chains. I suppose Starwood (Sheraton) qualifies but I usually stay there at conferences where they have a so-called discount rate where you get zero points.
Anyone else have thoughts on the Escape Club or know of any other such schemes?
