"Checkmytrip" or "Sabre" 4 QF bookings

Previously we have been able to use "checkmytrip" for looking up seats allocated or upgrades if successful but unable to do so with current QF15 booking. Pop up says "we are having difficulty with the request as submitted" blah blah
Sabre appears to be the same but do not know if it will have the upgrade posted if successful some 48hrs prior rather than only being advised at check in
Does checkmytrip still work with QF booking codes or will Sabre do the same instead can anyone please advise. Many thks

It would most likely need to be checkmytrip, as it looks at the Amadeus GDS (which QF uses).
 
Thks Notzag any idea y checkmytrip would not working with our current booking # & has not done so since time of booking back in June

Is it a QF booking reference or one provided to you by a travel agent? If it's the latter, you may need to get the QF booking reference directly from QF.
 
Yes Dave I can retrieve the booking ok...we have a QF booking code (6 alpha only) plus we have an Airline Ref # (6 alphanumeric)...Sabre only lets us in on the Qantas booking reference but checkmytrip on neither & we know that we have to use the 6 alphanumeric

Did you book this through AA perchance given that you have a Sabre reference. I would suggest calling Qantas and asking for their booking reference number. This will be probably be alphanumeric. With this you should be able to retrieve the booking on qantas.com and checkmytrip.com

Thks Dave booking done thru Qantas (we do have internal legs with AA) & as I said we can retreive our itinerary on Qantas with the airline booking # iys a strange one so I think now as you say is time to contact Qantas. Many thks 4 your help
