Does anyone know of a way (or have the ability) to check loadings in Y for CX flights?

There have been many times when just a few hours before departure EF will show:
Y9 B9 H9 K9 M9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9
even though the flight is oversold down the back.

EF (and the rest) just don't paint a clear picture of loadings, and not surprisingly, seat maps don't help much either.

We all know CX have a habit of overselling Y, but it seems they are happy to keep selling the lowest Y fares when oversold.

I think you need to look at the Business (or First) loadings as well.

A Seat is a seat and many airlines look to sell a likely unsold seat for whatever they can get.

Say an aircraft had 50 Business seats and 150 Economy seats.

Two days before the flight they have sold 160 WHY seats and 20 Business seats. The airline will try to get as much as possible for those remaining 20 unsold seats, whether it be for J or Y fares.

There's a lot more too it than this, but I believe it is representative.
