Hi there,

I will be flying from New York to Sydney via Los Angeles on Delta. This trip however is made up of 2 bookings; 1 x flight from New York to Los Angeles and 1 x flight from Las Angeles to Sydney. No doubt it will be on different planes as well. My question is whether I can check my baggage/confirm my booking at New York all the way to Sydney (even tho it is 2 bookings) or whether I will have to collect my bagge in LA and re-check in for the leg to Sydney.

Obviously my preference is to check-in once at New York and collect my baggage in Sydney.

Any information on whether there are any issues with this (and any solutions if there are!) would be much appreciated.
