I am travelling to Sapporo (CTS) from BNE via SYD and Narita (NRT). BNE to SYD is QF, SYD to NRT is QF overnight with the final leg from NRT to CTS on Jetstar Japan (GK). I have a 5 hour stopover in NRT and would like to use the QF lounge to freshen up however the GK flight baggage check in is only open 2 hours before. Will have check in luggage and wanted to know if I can check my luggage all the way through from BNE to CTS. If I have to collect baggage in NRT and recheck for CTS leg, then I would not be able to access the lounge until 2 Hours before as it is on air side. Appreciate comments on possibility of checking bags through or rechecking bags earlier than 2 hours before in NRT.
Thanks
FBS

In my experience, being able to through-check baggage to any JetStar family airline is a matter of asking politely and hoping for the best. Status helps your chances but by no means guarantees them.

This, sadly, may not matter as I'm not sure you could access the QF lounge when traveling domestically. Even if it were possible, the official rules state that lounge access for JetStar flights is granted only if on 3K, JQ, and VF flights.

International and domestic are in different areas at NRT, hence not being able to access the lounge. You'll need to clear customs and immi after arriving. I seem to recall friends trying to access the international Sakura lounge before clearing and transferring to their connecting domestic JL service with no luck - so I don't think it's possible to access the lounge :(
