Checking award availability VX/SQ for a range of dates

Hi all

I am currently considering flicking 300K+ points to Virgin Flying Club or Krisflyer to fly my parents from London to Sydney in late Nov returning early Jan in either PE or UC/J.

I am just checking availability on line and am struggling with having to check day by day availability on VX - is there a tool to check for availability on a range of dates? Similarly for SQ I can't add nominees at the moment and thus can not check availability for more than one person...

I have expert flyer premium access if that is any use.

Note - I do note that the Jan availability is not out yet - just checking at the moment to see if getting here is even possible...

You can try the ANA Tool for SQ and Virgin Atlantic, although availability isn't 100% the same. Generally if it's available to other *A members, it should be available to Krisflyer members.

On the virgin atlantic website, you can try to book seats using miles.
You need to a member of course, but you do not need to have enough miles.

If the day you picked is not available, they then display availability for the whole month, which then allows you to scroll month by month, so it is no hardship at all to search for a whole year.

I dont know about SQ except via ANA. Trying to use the SQ website to find availability is truly painful.

I did not get this at using the dates I was looking at (late Nov and mid Dec return) - just simply "try other dates"

Interestingly I again had the reverse experience - I was able to see saver awards on exactly the outbound date I wanted (including saver award LHR-SIN on the A380 :shock - I could not get return availability as I think the seats are not yet released.

I was just having a playaround on the V-A site. Seemed to have changed, cannot see the monthly availability anymore, but then, it seemed as if every date that I punched in resulted in something being available (upper class). And if not, they displayed a selection of the nearest available dates.

I meant it was a pain to change the dates on the SQ search engine. You can't just click the next day.
