Hi all,

I have bookings with QF nearly every weekend between now and the end of my anniversary membership year, however have just calculated that I will fall 25 SC short of retaining Platinum.

Can anyone suggest the cheapest/quickest way to obtain 25 SC's - The thought of yet another return flight somewhere is doing my head in.... Oh, and I have attained my status purely by leisure travel only - my hard earned cash and not my employer

Did you get the 1.5 status credits offer? You will need another flight to get those credits. No other way.

Can you put a stop over in one of your existing flights?

If some of your flights are not in J you could look at changing 1 or 2 from a red e deal to Flexi-saver or Flexi-saver to business class etc to earn more SC on your existing bookings.

Where are you based?
$399 plus $80 SYD - MEL JQ J class one way earns 40.
A lot of post Jul 14 QF flights now earn you 10 or 15 SCs.

??? Did you check the OPs details, they are based in BNE.

For the OP, suggest a BNE to ROk run via Gladstone. Take Thurs afternoon off, enjoy a QP in every stop and $345 later, mission accomplished.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks for the suggestion - a quick check however looks like to pay the fare difference and change fee is cost prohibitive. That is, I'm better off just buying another return flight somewhere.

When is your anniversary date? If you can stand flying with JQ you might be able to get BNE-CNS return with a plus pack for about $236 in Jan which should net you 30sc.

Scott.
