Qantas
Platinum
Due to my company having me work FIFO of Singapore for 12 months, I am going to be around 130 status points short of maintaining my Platinum status. The status points are less for overseas travel than for my normal domestic flights. Any ideas on how I can get some flights that maximize the status points for the least cost?

Assume you mean Qantas - so this thread should be in that forum.

Assume you are based in Tasmnaia, but unsure where.

Finally don't know if you have any frequent flyer points.

Booking a MASA before 30 June might be a smart idea.

Thanks, never used this before so still learning. Have 400,000 ff points all other assumptions are correct, will try to move it to the Qantas forum, thanks for the heads up!

Re: Qantas status points

Don't fly direct, connect. Pick routes that go through interim ports. This will increase your SC earn.

Re: Qantas status points

Fly to Canberra, as in: HBA-MEL-SYD-CBR-SYD-MEL-HBA (not sure how many SCs that will earn, but more than a more direct route)

Re: Qantas status points

If you're SIN based, look for cheap Business fares on Malaysian to other parts of Asia, or even something like Qatar SIN-DPS if you fancy a holiday in Bali.

Re: Qantas status points

Try EK J class or subclass of J from SYD to AKL.
But make sure you book for EK metal on the QF website.
Points and SC earning capability drops after Jul.
EK is Emirates, and they have 380 and 777 planes flying across from Aust to NZ.
Not cheap, but best earn fir short as in hrs flights.

For Rooflyer, as we all know, after Jul, it will be hard to book many stops single bookings air tickets.
