It's long been my understanding that FF points can only be credited to an actual person - i.e. that that they could not be credited to an entity such as a company, trust, govt. dept. etc. Now it has been suggested to me that registered charities (not necessarily a NFP entity) can accumulate points in the name of the charity rather than an individual. Can anyone confirm or refute that info?

Just to clarify.........I'm talking about having, for example, a QFF membership in the charity's name so that when employees of the charity make purchases on their charity-issued CCs, the points generated are credited directly to the charity's FF account rather than credited to the cardholder. The charity therefore accumulates all the points generated by its employees' expenditure. So my query has nothing to do with gifting FF points to a charity.

Can't confirm or refute, but what a terrific idea if it's not already possible. With Flybuys for example you can gift your points to a selection of charities.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
