Chargeback from closed account

Hi All,

I searched but only found an old thread that didn't really provide n answer so thought I'd try asking the brains trust here...

I closed my Citi Prestige account five weeks ago but no need to pursue a charge back for a merchant that is refusing to refund a faulty product. Is this possible given my Citi Mastercard is closed?

Can't speak for Citibank but it definitely worked for a bank of Melbourne visa which had been closed 5 months, for $10,000. Call them
