I have J Saver booking for two Brisbane to Zurich in early May 2014. Due to work matters we would like to change our dates.

On our new preferred date there is availability for J Savers to Frankfurt and two days later there is J Saver availability to Zurich.

My question is how easy is it to change the booking? Do I need to cancel the booking and then wait for points to be credited and then do another booking? My concern is that if I wait for points to be credited there may not be availability.

If the booking can be changed is anyone aware what the fees would be?

Any advice or tips greatly appreciated.

Cancellation fee is $15-$30 per person depending on your status
Takes a week or two for points to credit so you are better just buying two new flights, IF you have the spare points in your account.
Change fees are less but you may have to pay the extra 15% in points as it is now a phone booking. I have never tried it that way

  • For the Zurich one, as it is the same destination and departure, you can just log in to your account.
  • Select Manage your booking.
  • Select the flight to be changed.
  • Then click on the change booking icon.

There will be no additional cost $$ or points for the flight change. However if the $ has fluctuated you will either need to make up the difference on the Taxes & charges, or if higher now you will gain a refund.

I just changed a MUN - SIN - MEL flight for 2 and the euro cost in my case was 15 Euro for the 2 of us as the $Aust had dropped since I first booked.

Thanks for the advice. I had checked out SQ website but could not find the answers. I went into manage my booking and put in the new dates and Frankfurt instead of Zurich and there was availability for J Savers for 2. I had already done a dummy booking last night and knew there was availability.

Total cost was AUD $44.80. Surprised how easy it was and that you could change the destination as well as the date.

Below is a summary of what came up
