I just had to change a couple of flights booked through expedia.com due to a schedule change - what a PITA. It took a while to get past the voice recognition menu (had to do a fake American accent), their recorded message told me all about the volcano, then when I got to talk to a person it took ages to make the change and they insisted on charging the fare difference even though the change was due to a 3 hour schedule change. It may have only been $2.20 but it's the principle! But wait, I just checked on the airline site and the fare hasn't changed at all, it's just their coughpy US dollar! Bah!

Seems dealing with XP is a huge "YMMV" situation then...

I had a multi-stop semi-MR booked to position me for the infamous AC South America C fare (sure some of you remember that'un??) and when AC reneged I needed to change that set of flights to something completely different.

Took a bit of "leading" but the agent (Phillipines based?) sorted it all out with reasonable despatch.....

I assumed it wouldn't be possible due to Expedia "owning" the booking. Incorrect assumption maybe?

It's a correct assumption. Qantas (or other airlines) will make changes to a TA booking in certain circumstances, but generally the TA owns the booking and needs to deal with the issue/s.

That is one reason I try and avoid TA's, unless I find good reasons to use them...

Agreed, in this case I tried booking direct with the airline (Asiana) but couldn't get their website to accept my credit card.

Reviving this old thread, if I book the return leg of the NAN run via Expedia.com.au, will I be able to make (the usual) date changes through the QF website under my bookings or a call to QF?

Cannot see the required routing on the QF (FJ) website, but on EX only.

Edit. Spoke to QF who advised all changes must be made through expedia.com.au even though the booking will be visible under 'my bookings' on the QF website.
