Changing destination and return date

This maybe a fairy tale request but does the change fee include changing one date and location?
One of my trips in October is a double status
Considering changing it from one city in Asia aka Tokyo to Hong Kong and also the return date
Am I able to pay the change fee ,change in flight costs and keep the same double status?

I think changing the origin or the destination would force a new PNR to be created and you would obviously lose any double SCs eligible on the original booking.

What do you think happens when you redeem a gift voucher? The PNR reference remains the same, and both the source and destination are changed from GIF to VCH to be where ever you are actually flying.

As long as they just change the destination within the same PNR, and re-issue the e-Ticket, then your chances are probably good - as long as the new dates still fall within the required travel dates of the promotion. The T&C state that changes will invalidate the DSC, but experience and anecdotal evidence suggest otherwise. YMMV, and no guarantees, but the odds are very good.

Apologies if that's the case. What causes a new PNR to be issued when you make changes?

You need an expert to answer that one (not me).

I know one obvious one - multiple pax where routes need to be different need to be put into separate PNR as only one route / dates apply to the whole PNR, somwhilst one May retain the existing PNR, at least one new one will be needed.

I suspect that it mainly comes down to what is easiest for whoever is doing the change. A good operator who k owe how to use their system or GDS can probably make the change in the same PNR in complicated scenarios where a nervous or lazy user may take the easy way and create a new one.

There may or may not be rules, restrictions and protocols about original booking dates and when flights must be flown that are affected by changing a PNR or creating a new one.

Really need to get expert commentary - madrooster, ozbeachbabe, serfy and others will all know much more about this.

What you are doing can be done within the existing PNR, and with the existing ticket. You could change it to a destination in Europe even and it doesn't make a difference. You just pay the change fee and fare difference, which will be re-rated at today's prices.

Finally got through
Cancelling flight was a loss of all funds (didn't realise it was a cheap PE ticket )
The total extra cost was about 400
Which included fare difference , change cost and call centre charge
