I've called up AA Aust/India to change some dates/times of upcoming flights and they've mentioned I don't need to get my existing paper tix reissued. Does that seem correct? I don't want to get to airport and hand over the paper flight coupon only to refused boarding/check-in at the airport. I've checked the itineraries on both aa.com and checkmytrip and dates/times have been updated - I'm I being worried about nothing?

Also, for some reason there were unable to change/see dates/availabilities in June. Found that a bit strange - should I call the ATW allstars to follow through with the other changes? It is coming upto peak summer season in NA and I don't won't to stuff up my travel schedules there!

I have not trouble with date/time changes on a OW paper ticket. Generally I just rock up and all is fine. I would call the ATW desk on future availability - I never call the IndiAA number...

There is no need to reissue a DCIRxx ticket for a date change. However, some airlines may require the ticket to be "stickered" or "revalidated" before they will check you in. This revalidation process can require presentation of the paper ticket at a ticket sales counter where they proceed to apply a yellow sticker over the altered ticket coupon fields defining the flight details and hand writing the new details (date, flight number etc).

So just allow some extra time when you check-in, just in case you need to have the ticket revalidated. Sometimes this can be done by the check-in agent, but sometimes they will send you to the ticket sales counter to have it done. BA at LHR required me to visit the ticket sales counter to have it done and then return to the check-in desk to check-in.

Thanks guys! Reassuring to know it's all good! Is it same to presume that changing an airline (as well as dates/times) shouldn't require a reissue of tix either? I'm currently on a AA codeshare from HNL-NRT but the date I'm changing to has no D availability but there is for JL/JO.
