Am flying J class on SQ next week to Bali and just wondering is T2 or T3 the better lounge to shower and have breakfast?

Your flight to Bali will depart from T2. The lounge in T3 is nicer to look at, but the food selection is essentially the same. You will have a bit of a walk and a train ride to board your flight if you decide on T3, and the staff will remind you that your flight doesn't depart from this terminal but they wont stop you entering.

For me personally, for convenience, I would just use T2 and lounge there until 30-35 mins before departure time then head to the gate.

Looking at timetable you have 3.5 hrs between flights, enough time to go into town and have a walk around:!:

More seriously with this amount of time I'd choose T3. It has more natural light and the showers are nicer than the T2 lounge. As dazz81 points out, the food will more or less identical between the two lounges. If I have a long transit (very rare these days given I live in SIN) I choose T3.

As for the terminal change it is 15mins max if going to F gate in T2, 20 mins to E gate (in fact it is almost as long from T2 KF lounge to F gate as it is from T3!). Need to be at gate at latest 15 mins prior to departure.

The lounge in T3 certainly looks a lot nicer. I have not used the showers at T2, but cannot imagine that they would be better than the ones at T3.
