Now an extra transfer required from Jul 22

Changes to routes 369 and 590 | TransLink

On Monday 22 July, changes will be made to routes 369 and 590 as part of the first stage of the Brisbane City Council bus network review.
[h=2]Route 369 (Mitchelton to Toombul)[/h] Route 369 will operate from Mitchelton train station to Toombul bus station.
This means you will need to transfer at Toombul to route 590.
The frequency of route 369 will also be changing on 22 July:

  • every 20 minutes during peak hours, Monday to Friday
  • every 30 minutes all other times.
[h=2]Route 590 (Garden City to Toombul via Skygate)[/h] To ensure the Skygate and Aviation Precinct are still serviced, route 590 will be extended from the Airport DFO to the Toombul bus station.
The 590 will service all the same stops the 369 currently services.
This means you'll have new connections to a number of different buses at Toombul bus station, and Toombul train station - on the Caboolture and Shorncliffe lines - is only a short walk away.

Why change? Can't you use Toombul Station, or is the frequency not as good?

Eagle junction does get more services, including the Airport and Doomben lines.

Just when I find a cheap way to get to airport they change it on me.

Will need to learn to adjust as I am not helping Airtrain to be more profitable.

Can anyone comment on the on-time performance of the Tbus? According to the timetable at http://skygate.com.au/files/airportvillage/Bus Timetable.pdf, the first bus from DFO leaves at 0640, then busses from Level 2 internation leave every 10 mins. I've got a 0745 flight in the morning and am trying to decide if I'll make it on time.

Sadly my usual lift to the airport is unavailable :(

They are spot on normally, such a short route rarely comes across delays.

Worst case scenario, I'll get there for the 0640 and if it doesn't turn up, I'll grab a cab I guess! Still cheaper than the airtrain I bet!

Will report back, hopefully after my meeting :)

Tried to PM you my number, but you need to delete old PM's to get more memory for any new PM's to be sent to you.

Tbus runs on time most of the time, so you shouldn't go too wrong relying on it, but if you get stuck, I am in Jetts Fitness at the Airport Village most mornings 5-7am if you need help.

On time performance of T-bus is quite good.

Assuming not many passengers to pick up at International then you should be at Domestic in ~15 minutes.

Sorry about that Mushez, have done some spring cleaning! Thank you for the offer, hopefully I'll be right! What's the worst that can happen, I miss the flight and have to go home instead of a boring meeting and spend time with Mr k_sheep :)

Thanks for the input JohnK, I know you do this route regularly.

Also the new changes have not had that much impact on getting to/from airport from Central.

The trip takes just over an hour with the right connections.

For follow up, bus turned up perfectly on time :)

While in the bus, I got an SMS that my flight had been cancelled though! Went to the lounge, and managed to get on the earlier flight - so from 0640 bus to 0705 plane. Wouldn't recommend it though!

I hope you were wearing running shoes.

Close enough that I managed probably 80% of my normal sprint speed :)

Meeting finished early too, so managed to get a flight that left 3.5 hours early, and with a better seat than originally planned (5F from 11A). Walked out straight onto the T bus. A big shop at woolies (750 bonus points for >$120 shop), and still home earlier than if I'd been at work :)

Only whinge is that the refreshment was sweet or sweet (apple crumble or big biscuit) rather than the usual sweet or savoury.
