Changes coming to Virgin Money credit cards

The following changes are coming to virgin money credit cards:

1. AF increasing to $149 from $129 for Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer Credit Card and 1 extra point for VA purchases
2. AF increasing to $329 from $289 for Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer Credit Card and 2 extra points for VA purchases and earn upto 100 additional bonus status credits each year on eligible flights (details to follow).

Margins have tightened across the Credit Card arena for most major players, expect continued tightening of benefits and more revenue raising levers which will be pulled.

Watch out for interest rate rises. My latitude has jumped to 27.5%. I am paying it off, shutting it down and opted for a low rate CBA.

Really was a matter of time, the $129 annual fee with the $129 voucher + lots of bonus points sounded too good to be true. Could easily stick a lite fare return for one during a sale period.
