Change to 380 on the LAX run

I'm booked to LAX on Feb 18, and I know the 380's are coming back onto the run. At the moment, it still shows a 747 in the seat selection.
Anyone know when the 380 seats selection might come up? I'm trying to get 81A or 81J if I can.
I just keep checking each day - would it be worth calling Qantas and asking, or just wait?

What flight? QF93 or QF11?

QF11 is to basically become daily 388 soon, while QF93 is one 1 per week until late March.

Are you leaving SYD or MEL, as there is no return to the route for the A380 ex MEL at this stage.

Yes I did mean row 80, not 81 - oops.
How good are the rows 70-72 on the 747. I seem to recall a long time ago going from LAX to NRT on a cathay codeshare down the back in the very last row and it was somewhat noisy, but at that time I didn't have my QC3's.
Are those seats worth looking at?

I'm not traveling with my wife on this trip so I'm happy to play around with seating just for fun.

Pretty sure I saw QF93 landing at LAX last weekend, and it was the A380 on it's first flight back to the US...have some photos to prove it!

QF93 is to be A380 one day per week and 744 the other six days for the time being.
