So am needing to travel to AKL in April. Looking to get a JASA and then change the flight to the A380 EKK QF service to use points to upgrade to F.

a couple of questions.
1. How easy is it to change departure day and time of a JASA?
2. What do you think the chances of an F points upgrade from a JASA will be? Is it even possible?

Am a WP if that helps.

Thanks all... That sorts that out.

But if I manage to find a JASA how flexibly can you move them...am thinking of finding out say in May and then moving it to the day I want to travel in April. Sorry about the newb comments.

You could try looking for a classic award, I believe you can book those in F (although I could be wrong).

If you book a JASA (on a QF operated flight, so no A380) generally they're fine to re-date but still require reward availability for the new date - so I can't see the benefit of booking then re-dating over waiting until you know the actual travel date.

If it's a classic award it doesn't really matter what the booking code is, since you're not earning points/SCs anyway.

They do for the current points refund promo of course, not that its much incentive being 4000 back from 52000 spend.
