Change in SQ status at expiry date not showing

Hi all
Bit of a weird one so bear with me.
I successfully applied for a status match with Singapore Airlines in October 2024 - I was SG with QF and SQ matched me with KF Elite Gold. All good - have really enjoyed the perks of KF Elite Gold while flying Premium Economy.
So my question is... my status was meant to expire at 31 October 2025, and I did not achieve the 50,000 miles to requalify for SQ Elite Gold. So I should have dropped down to Silver on 31 October 2025. But the app and SQ website are still showing that I am Gold as at today (7 November 2025) but with an expiry date of 31 October 2025.
Has this happened to anyone else? Is it possible that I will keep Gold status for another year?
I am planning to apply for the HSBC Star Alliance card to maintain my Gold status but obviously would prefer not to go through the hassle of a new credit card application if my SQ Gold status will remain for some weird reason...
Thanks so much!

Been through the same thing and that extra week or so got me some lounge access that I wasn't expecting

You should predict Powerball... got a lovely email from SQ today confirming my new KF Silver status haha.
On to the HSBC application next week....
Depending on which program, you might want to hold off until the beginning of next year.

With aeroplan you’ll get up to two years of gold… the remainder of the current year plus the year after… so early 2026 would give you all that year plus 2027.

I don’t think SQ is as generous.

With aeroplan you’d have to pay for the second year…but $499 is not bad for *G!

Great insight and yes SQ is a 12 month membership.
Typically I do 2 or 3 trips from Aus to Asis each year in Premium Economy so *G for $499 is pretty good value for the 2 of us for all the perks. After all a meal at SYD T1 is about $50 each now per person for something decent so I am saving money hahah (unlikely but hey!)

That’s the other thing with aeroplan… Australia to Asia, while distance based, comes in at 45k (around AUD900) each way on SQ or TG business class. Which is likely comparable to PEY fares. You can get as far as bangkok for that. It goes up to 60k each way ($1200) for business each way as far as Japan.

While you don’t need to be aeroplan elite to get those prices as awards, being elite gets you through to the call centre in 2 minutes. The general line can be two hours, or more.
