Thought i'd better do my own than hijak a thread again.

Opinions on points-upgrade or op-up on QF52 10/10?
QF 52 showing C0 J3 I0 D0 with YBMKL all 9s.

Interestingly, the codeshares do show availability:

JET 4052 (codeshare) showing 4s all classes (CZJD) plus all Y buckets.

BA7352 shows C7 J9 I0 D2 with most of the Y buckets showing 9s

AF 8090 shows C0 Z0 J9 I0 D0 with most Y buckets 9s.

Cheers

I have travelled on 51/52 4 times in last 2 years and J always full.Speaking to purser last time(end May) who said it is virtually always full in J.

Thanks guys,

That was my thought although i got a bit more hopeful when i saw the codeshare numbers.

Presuming there must be at least 9 seats in J given BA are offering up 9 seats, but they'll almost certainly go between now and 10/10.

Oh well.

Sorry to dredge up old thread but for those interested (pictures tumbleweed blowing by......) we did manage to get upgraded.

I like seat 1A. :D

Purser said entire flight was full (apparently all Aus-bound flights were chockers that night). I can confirm J cabin full so suspect we got last two J seats!

On sliver too! I now have enough pts for full Y to J upgrade for my MEL-LAX...
Just have to hope the mob who are flying me book me into full Y on QF..

But to get 1A... Very nice, F seat with J service?

I imagine it was an A330 service?

Sorry, for clarity:

- 2 class service (so J seat - 172 degree (still better than Y)
- Request was made by a CL as soon as the request period opened so it may be that that's had the effect rather than my PS and mrsdoc's QP/PS status (although i believe there is still some conjecture if it's the reqestor or the beneficiaries status that counts)

(As per other thread, managed to get Y to J on QF15 and QF107 as well. They were both chockers too).

Tis the season for upgrades. Sadly, mrsdoc now has the taste for J, so our next RTW is likely to be in D rather than L (and hope for upgrades........)
