Hi, I'm seeking flights departing jan 11 or 12 returning jan 14 or 15.

Would like suggestions to reduce price. I have about 100,000 QFF points to spare, and 50,000 velocity points.

Happy to drive to/from Syd but I gather flights bundled could be cheaper than the parking.

Only 1 travelling.

Qantas Red, Virgin Australia Silver, Virgin America Gold, AA Platinum

Thoughts?

Mike

You could try SYD-NRT on JAL. Fresh awards space tends to open up around three weeks out (currently showing as waitlisted). Should be a little over 100,000 QFF points (in Y).

What sort of prices are you looking at?

Options from CBR-TYO are via SYD (JL [NRT] day, QF/NH [HND] overnight), via BNE (QF day), via MEL (JL overnight) or via SIN (SQ, CBR-SIN overnight). Other options available with a 2nd connection.
The JL SYD flight only works with a connection from CBR during day light saving, or an overnight in SYD.
