CBR to go international within two years

Note that a QF flight CBR-SIN only really captures traffic destined for SIN, FRA or LHR. An SQ flight on the same routes can capture traffic to a much larger number of destinations.
So why leave everything to SQ? A well timed QF flight can do a lot more than just provide feeder traffic for QF flights to FRA and LHR. It can provide feeder traffic for other Oneworld airlines as well as other airlines in SIN.

Does everyone on an SQ flight from SYD, MEL, BNE etc have SQ connecting flights in SIN? Possibly not.

SIN is supposed to be a decent hub for QF but personally I think they have missed an opportunity to pick up (or retain) more passengers going to SIN.

Still, I think there are probably destinations that SQ would have much higher priority than CBR!
That depends on the politics being played. Think about who they may want to woo in order to gain some leverage for other routes that seem very attractive to SQ ;)

Surely QF at least would have a good idea how many of us FFers do international flights and where we go to?

I mean they have a postal address for us even if it is just a PO Box and know where we're flying so it should be a fairly easy calculation to determine whether or not it would be worthwhile to schedule international flights and to what destination.

cbr-lax???

(Mind you, I am not sure that SYD-LAX is as attractive as it used to be)

Really QF just need to rip out the first few rows of Y seats from the 3K's 320's put in some of the seats they're installing on the TT 73H's, repaint the aircraft and codeshare on them "Qantas operated by Valuair/Jetstar Asia " (as appropriate ... just like BA operated by Comair.

Seriously though, the timings of QF's service to Singapore (exc. PER & ADL) do not support through traffic to most near destinations. Also, if discussing CBR, I am sure QF have stats on international connecting traffic out of CBR. If that traffic was significant then one would think perhaps a case for direct services, but that traffic iis also then probably important to "top up" SYD-CBR and SYD-SIN services, if you get my drift. With SQ though they probably have less concerns about that.

Any way my vote is on flights relating to Pitinga in Brazil.;)
