Photo of de-icing a VA 737-800 at the stand after a cold (-5 C) night.

My other photo of a QF 737 taking-off RWY 35 through a low fog layer (only 3m from the ground up) cutting across the northern half of the runway didn't come out.

CBR airport sea to have closed the runway while they inspect the fog layer from a Jeep.

Never fear. The pollies are back next week so that should end the cold spell.

So how are they de-icing and is the airfield set up for it environmentally?

Deicing is probably a bit of a jargon term for the use of special liquid to prevent refreezing. I think CBR was using warm water.
