CBA Offers: 5k for standard, 10k for new Gold, 20k for new Platinum

Just browsing the website and came across these interesting offers. I was on the phone to CBA at the time and asked if they were for new applications or upgrades and was told it is only for NEW applications.

The bonus points promotion runs from 12 February 2009 to 31 March 2009 for online applications only, and applications must be approved before the promotion ends. The spend period commences from the date your application is approved and ends on 30 April 2009. Spend $200 on the Awards MasterCard and 5,000 points will be credited, spend $500 on the Gold MasterCard and 10,000 points will be credited, spend $1000 on the Platinum MasterCard and 20,000 points will be credited. The allocated points will be credited in to the account 8 weeks after the spend period end date, by 25 June 2009. “Eligible purchases” do not include cash advances, annual and account fees or other bank fees, credit charges, or government fees and charges.
