I just transferred a lot of points from my Select card to Krisflyer, and enquired the rate of redemption from my Citibusiness Card, and was told it is 1.5/1 to both Krisflyer and Velocity..

I just called and was told for CitiBusiness it is 2:1....but I have a Plat and not a Select.

I also complained about the lack of notice.
They claimed I was written to, but I refuted that.

Has anyone been given notice in writing?

That really sucks:

Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer
Citibank cardholders can transfer points to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer program at:
Citibank Rewards Credit Card - Select and Signature cardholders:
1.5 Citibank reward points = 1 KrisFlyer mile, redemptions must be in multiples of 15,000 Citibank reward points

Was it always 1.5 CitiRewards to 1 Krisflyer? I thought it was 1:1 but I sweep directly into QF so not sure.

Looks like my Citibank Cards may go into retirement again. Are currently free, and so will not cancel, will just not use.

As I like to go to KF, urn is now just 0.625 KF point per $. May have to think on the 1;1 QFF cards...

Let's hope more companies move to accepting payments from PayPal.

A question that needs to be asked and answered by those affected.

If the answer is no would hope that Citi compensate in first instance and if not hope some of you guys will head off to Financial Ombudsman Service – Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)

Changing transfer rate on points previously earned without notice is just not acceptable.

Was not 1;1 to KF

I started using Citibank when years back then went from 2:1 to 1.5:1....combined with many other VISA/MC dropping to 0.5 point per $.

I just downloaded the Citibank app.

And tried to redeem my points in KF miles, no dice. Just give's me an error to contact CitiBank.

Ok back in the office now. I transferred 15000 points for 10000 miles through online banking, will see what it posts.

But also thought I'd try again on mobile device. See below.

You can also move at 1.5 to 1 on Plat by CALLING up and have them do it.....and oddly online in 20K increments!

suspect this is just temp though as wording on website says Plat is 2:1.

CitGold though on phone is now 2;1..so I have complained and ask them to get back to me.

Actually, even using PC browser, when you try to do actual transfer, it is still 1.5:1 for Platinum card holders (ie what they say in the page is not what is programmed in their points transfer page). But I already submitted my transfer using Citibank mobile App so I cannot officially test this.

I moved some points across to KF in February and did it by calling. I seem to remember not being able to do this online at the time... ??

I was also told the transfer rate to KF was 1.5/1, twice, but when the lady tried to put it through came up as 2/1.
Supervisor could not help, so they are getting back to me.

Just got home and moved my wife's Plat points to SQ. Went at 1.5 which operator confirmed.

I am sure that there will be a high volume of transfers, which will alert the IT team to update the points transfer calculator ...

Looking at their CItibank Rewards T&Cs below, looks like they could get away to change the price of "individual items":

The file below can be access from their Velocity/Krisflyer redemption page at Terms and Conditions:

They called myself back. They are not budging on the 2;1 for Citibusiness, if even only for points already accrued.

Yes I moved 75K from my Plat to have 50K arrive at SQ.

Very unimpressed that Citibank would devalue the transfer rate without any notification at all! I can unequivocally state that I have not been contacted by phone, mail or email. I'm quite new to the points game and relatively new to the work force and had hoped to warehouse my points to transfer to krisflyer in a few years when I had enough to treat ourselves to long-haul business or first. Just put through 45k from my Plat with the calculator saying 30k miles due in SQ so hopefully I managed to beat the new transfer rate. Thanks to this forum for highlighting this, I would have never noticed otherwise!
