Just had this pointed out to me by mrssimongr from this month's Vogue Entertaining and Travel:

FOOD FOR THOUGHT. Those travelling at the Champagne end of the Qantas fleet now have even more to look forward to, with Neil Perry's new eight-course tastig menu being introduced on the carrier's international flights. The snapper poached in coconut milk and garam masala with snow peas and fragrant rice (PIC) sounds much more enticing than your average airline meal. But it's the full caviar service being introduced ton QF 1 to Bangkok that we find ourselves getting excited about

mrssimongr is now demanding F seats ;)

Good luck :!: How's your bank balance :?:

Just working out how I can get enough points to make our RTW award in F rather than J - think I am going to be about 60K short :/

Maybe in 2009 we might get an F award ;) Ther might even be new F product on the A380 by then :)

Simon, If she wants to go in F, you can always buy 40,000 points from AA for about US$1000....
Just put it to her that it will be ok to fly in F but you will be staying in H..(Hostels)...

My Mrs is happy with J normally, but with our next trip to BKK, she is on Singapore in whY (for a work conference) and I am doing an award F on BA... she is NOT amused.
I have no way of getting her upgraded as we have no points/status with Singapore.

I have promised her a J run to HKG or similar later this year... that should keep her somewhat happy.

I think the magazine has got it a bit wrong.

It isn't quite a full caviar service as one is probably thinking.

It is a 'Shot glass of cauliflower soup with salmon caviar and vietnamese beef wrapped in betel leaves'

Looks a little something like this.... (but looks better in the cabin)

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy the caviar?
