I think it will be a A330 being flown on between SYD and HKG from March-11

Yes, there will be 1 plane only in March for the SYD - HKG route...to showcase the seat.
After that, all the new delivery planes will be fitted with new seats.

CX will be work on their boeings in late 2011, then mid 2012 for airbuses and will complete the whole process before 2013.

So... yea its going to be a long wait before you would be guaranteed a new J seat in Australasia routes!

Cx100/101 will be the first flights to get the new J (syd-hkg-syd)

NICE !#$@!@#$@%$@!#

Circle Pacific fare in April's going to bring me home via HKG now...

you guys just made my week

If the herringbone mentioned here is the same as the one used on regional aircraft then it would be good to see the end of it. It is an uncomfortable seat with restricted elbow room making it hard to play games, eat or just sit around.

Slope or not I prefer a skybed to a herringbone layout seat any day.

P.S I don't purchase a business class seat to sleep. I purchase a business class seat to enjoy it otherwise it is a ridiculously high price to pay to sleep. I would much rather save the money and sleep in economy.
