Cathay used to release Award Flights around 355 to 360 days out. Now there doesn’t seem to be anything of a pattern.

Looking to book J x 2 AUS-UK or even Asia-UK for APR27. I’m seeing some seats less than six months before departure but I’m looking to lock in something earlier as I need to make further bookings.

Can anyone shed some light on CX release dates?

I suspect no one here really knows and why they’re not coming out like pre COVID. Since then, QF have generally stopped releasing premium award seats 353 days (with some exceptions). Then a lot of partner airlines have started holding back seats for their own elites.

CX may have done that? JL also seems to be MIA between Oz and Japan…

Ok thanks. I’ll continue with my random searches.

I certainly noticed that JAL were MIA unfortunately.

Unfortunately, the new QF rewards finder search tool doesn’t go beyond the QF 353 days out window. So presumably won’t show if CX are releasing any seats to QF at 355 days. So trial and error with MS search.

CX reward seats seem to be pretty sporadically released these days. They save most premium cabin rewards for their own members. I think it's worth checking every now and again.

I did snag a J seat BNE to HKG for early June about 6 months out. They also seem to show up with late notice, usually a week or so out from departure.
