Hi all, I have a choice on my next RTW BC trip. AMS-HKG on Cathay A350-1000 (Then to NRT B777-300) or Emirates A380-800 AMS-DXB-NRT. I have flown Cathay A350-900 before & I like the Reverse Herringbone seats as I'll be travelling alone.
Would our of our more frequent flyers have any suggesting on Emirates A380-800 v Cathay A350-1000? Thanks.

Have done both multiple times and whilst I love CX and their A350 I’m a massive EK A380 lover and so would always choose that. Food wise I rate them both similar and I find both offer great service. Even though I’ve heard EK staff can be hit or miss I’ve never really experienced that. The EK onboard bar is a big factor for us as I love mingling with staff and other passengers. I do sleep better on the EK A380 aswell

Thank you very much for that, much appreciated. I’ll have a look at the Emirates A380-800 booking.

I think EK trumps CX in most aspects... better food, better alcohol, stand-up bar, better lounges. IFE is probably a wash.

The EK contract lounge at AMS is dismal.
Having said that, I don't know if the BA lounge that CX uses is any better.
