$130 for parking at the airport for 13 days is a small price to pay IMHO when you will be in a hurry to get home after a long flight back from LA then a 3 hour drive, I have to admit it was cheaper than I thought it would be !
Spooky! This is just what I was going to ask. I also live 3 hours from Sydney and am about to go to NZ for 11 days.
I'm looking at websites and some of the places make me think of the Dodgy Brothers! And I would prefer not to hand over my keys to them while I'm away. I know, I hand over my keys when my car gets serviced......
Does anyone have a preferred car park or should I park at the airport long stay and spend alot more but at least keep my keys on me?
There is the option to catch a coach which is $48 each way. The bus up is fine. The bus back leaves at 0940 or 1545. If the Lan Chile flight is on time I'll be fine. If I miss the early bus will be a long wait till the second one.
Have you thought of parking in the Mascot area and leaving the car for 11 days for free?

No.
I have been thinking of leaving my car at work HQ in Kogarah. I could leave the keys in the safe. Drop my luggage at the hotel, park at Kogarah then run back to the hotel.
This should work out cheaper than parking at the airport and easier than taking the b*s.
As a rule taking the b*s should never be considered.

I am thinking I will ring work and see if the bosses are ok with me leaving my car.
If you have the option then two 'cheap' one way rentals may work for you and that way your car is safely in bed at home.

Thank you everyone for the advice. Driving home from Canberra this afternoon I was resigned to catching the bus. I changed my mind and although costing more have gone the prepaid option at Sydney International.
