The FAs didn't ask Grumpy Cat to buckle up?

And Grumpy Cat has bare feet on the seat? OMG!!

I see never before topics being discussed by AFF'ers ;)

STFU? is that a nautical term?

Mmm. I realise how stressful it is when someone is yelling and you don't understand what they are saying.

A rather excellent flight that left bang on time. Boarding done quickly and efficiently. Clearly I'm no longer able to drink lots of alcohol - gone are those days. Enjoyed a Moet on being seated

We were handed our kits - Emirates have changed their kits - a great tote bag containing the PJ's which too have been redesigned. They come in a large felt pouch. Rather excellent.

Amenity satchel with the usual goodies.

Ready from take off.

And then the good stuff.

Crew was absolutely delightful. I drank a lot of water and each time I finished a bottle another appeared.

The menu probably hasn't changed. It's certainly very tasty.

I was asked on boarding if I wanted a shower. I had planned to have a meal and then a shower and try for some sleep so asked for 2 hours after departure.

At about 1.30 hours out the cabin crew said they would prepare my shower for 20 minutes time. Perfect timing.

Being on the A side that shower is much larger than K side as I visited that later.
Heated floors. Every amenity you could think of. Huge fluffy towel.

Five minutes shower time but as long as you wanted inside. I think I was the only one showering - there were only 5 passengers.

This was an F redemption so value for $365 was rather good. I've forgotten how many points.

Returning they had prepped the bed for sleep. It had a slight drop at the foot end.

I willed myself to sleep and probably slept for a couple of hours. Bearing in mind we were arriving at midnight this wasn't a problem.

I love Singapore efficiency. Straight off the plane, no immigration queue although the concept of leaving by cruise ship seemed to baffle them, and walking through to baggage they were already rolling out. Had also received a text from the chauffeur.

Waited for Dame O who was right behind and sorted out cars. Another nice car but not quite as special.

The views to Marina Bay Sands and the hotel were wonderful at night. No queue at check in and we were escorted to our room with our luggage.

Rather nice view at night.

And this morning.

We were both jolted out of bed by an alarm going off at 7am. Dontcha love that!

So to report from down the back of the bus from Dame Y, I can concur that it was a very very pleasant flight. I settled into to row 9, with bubbly in hand and surveyed the menu. Pre dinner cosmo was in order but of course it was for comparison purposes only!

Dinner was duck salad followed by prawn biryani - both delish!

In no time we were in our digs at MBS and a cup of tea before falling into bed at 1.30. It was a loooong day.

Breakfast at MBS was rather $$$ so we strolled for a walk into the mall. I am at best pathetic at orienteering so Dame O took charge. The MBS is very busy and a little chaotic at 11am checkout.

Some high end fashion here but stores were closed until 11am.

Easter eggs.

Seated at breakfast I thought Dame O was having a bilge washout  until we realized that at 10am this:

Turned to this:

Breakfast of French Toast and huge latte @ $18 each.

Then we checked out places to eat tonight.
Great dumpling restaurant and hand made during the morning.
ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1491448371.362987.jpg

And a tea house that looked fabulous for later.

ImageUploadedByAustFreqFly1491448402.994479.jpg

And now we are off to go check out that infinity pool.

Views towards the Harbour. Taken through glass so a bit blurred.

Diamond Princess (last cruise) and Ovation of the Seas at port. Tomorrow it will be QM2.

Miss Manners regrets - the large group of tourists entering the cramped lobby with suitcases and thinking it is a good idea to get into the lift before we and a luggage trolley have exited.

Gripe of the day: the fridge that has auto billing and is crammed full of stuff which means we have no room for the tonic for the gin let alone ice cubes. We can rent a personal fridge for $10 and that would be excluding GST and service charge.
Drink of the day:

Great report even if some of us find Singapore to be one of the most boring major centres in Asia, and Dubai poor for numerous reasons that are out of scope of AFF's travel reports, but very poor at Marina Bay Sands that you would have to pay S$10++ for a day's minibar (fridge) rental.

I've not had to pay that in locations as diverse as Manila or Toronto: it's often just provided. Not a fan of the new electronic charging type bar fridges. My usual request is 'clear the minibar.'

Could you please keep this cough out of others' travel reports?

Meh. We make our own fun.
