Cancellations to flights

i was supposed to leave today tuesday for my flight home to melbourne. The flight from israel to zurich has been cancelled due to the volcano eruption. i was supposed to leave zurich wednesday night and spend 3 days in shanghai before leaving shanghia on saturday night to mebourne.

so my question are. if the flights begin out of israel tomorrow. how long will i be stuck here? does the swiss airline re arrange my new flight? do they try and rebook me in asap?

Call your airline ASAP to re-arrange things, and to book you on as early as they can. Otherwise there is no definitive answer to your question unless you contact the airline in question

The OP mentioned Swiss airline and since they are transiting in Zurich I would assume the airline is LX.

Swiss from israel to Zurich and then shanghai, air china from shanghai to melbourne.

my partner rang the travel agent and they said swiss should be arranging it, but they can as well. earliest flight out to zurich is May 1. unless i go a different way.

I'd be getting in contact with Air China for the shanghai to melbourne legs, let them know what's going on as well, it may be that everything works out, but a quick phonecall wouldn't hurt, and it puts you on a better foot if you need to re-arrange your Air China flights

swiss has changed my flight and am leaving israel on sunday and flying through zurich and then bangkok bank to melbourne.

have no idea abot costs
