Hi all, I've got a return DRW-MEL flight booked for the 6th June, returning on the 9th. Due to something coming up I'm going to have to leave Melbourne a little later which means I'm going to have to book a flight back on JQ (yuk!). Therefore I'm going to have to try to cancel the return leg and hope I can get a credit (Red e-Deal). If I do this before I fly is there any risk of anything happening to the first flight or am I best off organising it after the first flight is completed?

Scott.

Is there a change fee?
I paid $80 on a Red e deal one tine, to change from a 737 to a 767.
Are you happy to just forget the return trip?
Are you a QFF member?
Edit: ah a WP! Ring and ask on that special phone no, on the back of your Plat card, they might forgo the fee I mentioned.

On the QF site there appears to be a $77 change/cancellation fee mentioned but nothing about return flights. The return segments were $300+ each (2 pax) so I'd like to get some sort of credit at least. Good idea about the WP line, wasn't sure if they'd waive the fee even with my status though.

Just call and cancel the return flight. You will not have any issues with the flight up by doing so.
