Hello

We have a credit voucher from cancelling return flights to HK. I'd like to supplement this voucher with FF points to purchase another flight. I can't find anything on the Qantas website saying vouchers and points can't be combined but when I rang Qantas they told me this couldn't be done, and that we had to pay the difference between the value of the voucher and the new booking.

Has anyone else experience with this?

Can vouchers and points be combined to purchase a flight?

I've only called Qantas once regarding this issue, and am always reluctant to accept the first advice I receive, based on experiences of being provided different advice by different people on the same issue.

Any advice appreciated.

I've done it. Only once last year. Was quite a lengthy process with the call centre but it got done (was only a Mel/Syd flight in J)

Were you charged a fee also for using their call centre?

And did Qantas try and push back at the start and say no, it couldn't be done?

Thank you.

No fee was charged (they said they waived it for me). No issues with the agent I got either. If at first you don't succeed...try again!

You can only use those vouchers by calling up and hence they don't charge you a fee.
