Can you check in at KLIA the night before?

Have a return trip from Brisbane. The flight home leaves at 9.45am. Have done this trip a few times before and is always a pain as need to get up around 5.30am. Not a problem for me but wife likes her sleep.

This time thinking of arriving at the airport around 9.00 to 10.00pm the night before to check in and spend the night at the express hotel and not check out of it until between 7.00 and 8.00am without having the worry of getting to the airport. I am aware that the minimum booking time is 6 hours and you pay extra by the hour. I know there is the Sama Sama hotel that adjoins KLIA but preference is to check in the night before.

Does any one know if you can check in at KLIA the night before your flight?

Why not stay at Sentral and use downtown checkin, the Aloft is often at 250MYR, and you could catch the 8.30 train after a nice sleep in and breakfast and still have plenty of time.

I failed to mention that we are undecided about whether we will be at KL or Malacca the day before. If at Malacca it is about a 90 minute trip to KLIA by car. Either way would like to explore about checking in the night before.

If I you can not check in the night before then will look at an airport hotel - either Sama Sama or Concorde (at half the price).

Are you referring to checking in your baggage?

MH does offer an advance check-in option according to their website:
Book & Plan - Check-in - Other Options | Malaysia Airlines

You can "check-in up to 48 hours before departure, using our web, mobile or kiosk check-in facility. You can have your baggage dropped off and tagged 1 hour before take-off."

But best to call MH and confirm?

Airwin, thanks for that. I will contact MH to confirm that if I do check in the day before departure then I can also check the bags in and then go through immigration the night before.

I am travelling in business class (on an Enrich redemption ) so dont know if that will make any difference.

Will post the answer once I know.

Have just come back from KL and can advise that you are able to check in your bags the day before.

Did not do so myself as we decided to stay at the Concorde which is only 5 minutes by shuttle bus from the terminal.

Was at the Malaysia enquiry counter the afternoon before as our son who we met up with in KL had flown from Istanbul and his luggage was lost. I asked if we could check in our luggage and they said we could and could have printed boarding passes as well. Did not do that as we still had last minute shopping to do in KL which needed packing.

BTW Concorde was an acceptable place to stay at around $90 a night.
