Can you check baggage at Changi airside transfer desks?

I've booked my better half a connection at SIN arriving MH J and then departing SQ Y+ (VA award booking). I'll also be booking her a layover in the airport hotel to get some decent sleep.

Now, whilst I know she can check in and collect her onwards boarding pass at the SQ Transfer Desks, can she also check a bag at that point? I've never taken enough notice of whether they have luggage acceptance facilities there when at SIN.
The background to the question is that the inbound flight arrives 0025 and the onward outbound flight is 0705 (to SYD). I figure with the J carry on allowance on MH of 14KG she can travel HLO, but the SQ flight then has only 7KG allowed for Y+ and that is probably not viable. So, assuming it's possible, I've recommended to her to travel HLO on the MH flight and then check the bag when collecting her SQ boarding pass. No need to go landside, and quicker to get into the T3 airside hotel and get a few hours sleep.

Is this possible?

As an alternative, if she checks a bag on MH inbound, can she give the baggage tag details to SQ staff on check-in at the transfer desks and get them to do the baggage transfer for her? I know this used to be the case many years ago, but not sure if Changi still do it.

The third (and less favoured) option is to arrive at the departure gate in the morning with two carry-on bags and see what SQ do. Will they make her check one at that point? Is there a cost, noting that she won't have used any of her included checked baggage allowance at that point?

And of course there's always the final option of just entering Singapore, claiming a bag, rechecking it with SQ and then returning airside to the hotel, but that eats into valuable sleep time so is priority number last!

Thanks all.

(interestingly, I can't mark this with the question prefix, as clicking in that space or on the drop down arrow next to the title, I can only see the grey border at the top of what I assume is the 'prefixes selection box'. I can't actually make a selection, or indeed see any box or text.)

Of course no guarantees, but I have never seen Sq weigh carry on either at Sin or other ports. I would just bring the 14 kg luggage as carry on.

We had no issues asking MH to interline our bags onto SQ. Alternatively the transfer desks can arrange for your bag to be retagged at SIN

A couple of other things to consider in your decision making:

The benefit of having HLO on arrival at the final destination. The time saving is probably worth getting her to try the HLO as kpc suggested.

How about a hybrid solution? Through check the majority of her gear in one bag and hand carry just what she needs for an overnight. This reduces the amount of weight that needs to be carted around within Changi. Reduced clutter in the hotel and reduced clutter around where ever she is having breakfast.

Thanks for the comments folks.

@TomVexille was your MH to SQ interline on separate bookings? If so, we'll go with that request as plan A.

It was separate bookings. MH didn't even ask to see the SQ booking. They just wanted the flight number. When we checked in for our SQ flight at the SIN transfer desk they confirmed that the bags had been tagged correctly.
