Can you buy VISA debit cards in the US

Hi I was wondering whether anyone knew whether you can buy Visa debit cards in the US like you can here at Australia post. I am going to have quite a bit of US cash left over and wouldn't mind buying this type of card whilst I am there so I can use it to purchase either hotels for my next trip or buy miles through AA etc. Thanks

I believe you can, but am not aware of any detail.

Yep you can, at pretty much any supermarket I'd say. Same as here.
