Just wanted to check; The best flight for us from NYC - LHR is a BA code-share, which obviously has Y+ class.

AA tell me I cannot book Y+, just Coach, Business and First (even calling them they rtell me, but I got Yes from agent #1, No from agent #2. Agent #1 told me the system crashed so couldn't book me. Porkies maybe?)

Can anyone confirm this is the case?

Saw that thread just prior to posting. As it was referring to QF I was hoping for better. So be it.

Plan B; do the award points reduce with specials/sales on AA? So a bit like a ASA award of QF? and I may get a J award cheaper? I have no AA point so need to buy them and 75,000 is max at the minute so can't even do a J/Y combined award :(
