I am about to change a classic award booking for Mrs Jaybeedee and me, and I need to top up points for the change fee . Mrs Jaybeedee has a few orphan points that expire at the end of this month, but less than the 5,000 needed for a family transfer.

Has anyone had any experience with this.

I haven't been able to see anything in the Ts&Cs which say whether top-up points can or can't be be transferred. It's not a train smash if they expire, but I hate leaving them on the table!

Thanks for any advice

The normal way to tidy up orphan points less than the family transfer limit is to transfer enough to that account to bring it over the minimum, then transfer the whole lot back. If doing a family, do a circle sweeping progressively and accumulating the orphans so each person only has to do one transfer

Thanks, that's what I should have done a few months ago. Now I am very efficiently down to 2 points in my own account so that option is gone.

Never mind, we have stopped chasing QFF points so losing them is not the end of the world.
