I am thinking of going to HKG on June 24th and was wondering if someone could tell me if there are 6 point seats on any flights for that day? Also on the 1st of July - is there any on that day?

Whastever will get me there with 6 seats... QF is only showing me that i can have 5 seats - and i need 6!

There's 5 from MEL, 2 from SYD and 4 from BNE in Economy on the 24th on QF.

Well that sucks! There were 6 there on Wed from MEL... Seems someone else needed to get there more than us!

What are the chances of ringing up the call centre and getting another seat on the MEL flight? Slim to none i would imagine...

They may release another seat down the track, but they won't simply by request, all you can do is book 5 and wait really.

Experience has taught me when you see what you want book it and don't hesitate ! not even for paid tickets sometimes, too many times even hours later its been too late

Methinks you are lucky to have even those 5 seats available.

As you would be ex HBA, MEL is the obvious cnx.

It's only on the new QF85 which is showing:

J9 C9 D9 I0 B9 H9 K9 M9 R9 L9 V9 S9 N9 Q9 O9 X5 E0

You would have no hope the on QF29 that days, it's showing:

F8 A8 J9 C9 D9 I9 W9 T9 B9 H9 K9 M0 R0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0 E0

I'd grab those 5 seats while you can and while you may be able to get a seat released; I'd look at doing a revenue booking.

As an agent, i'd backup what Serfty just said, i'd be booking what you can as they won't last long and look at a paid tkt for one.

The longer you wait, the more chance you'll find someone else has taken 2, 3 or 4 seats....if its only 1 u want then you can afford to procrastinate, but when its so many seats you want, dont delay, act fast.

The biggest problem is we are waiting on MRI results for one of us and they arent due at the earliest till tommorow so our hands are tied till then - i guess we wait and see...
