Can I use the Star Alliance 1st class lounge in LAX on arrival from AU?

Land in LAX, have hours before connection to domestic VX. Business on both flights and have VA platinum.

When I was there earlier this year they allowed myself (platinum) and one additional guest into the lounge. So it shouldn't be a problem unless this has since changed.

Edit: just saw on coughpy phone that it was post flight and I am not sure about that. Sorry
